Why Brown Girl Shine?

Because brown women need safe spaces where they are embraced for the whole of their creation while pursuing Jesus. Western Christianity often esteems part of our creation as women while teaching messages that marginalize our experiences as women of color. Yet, we know we can fully embrace all God has for us as brown girls while still pursuing unity in the faith. Welcome to a place designed to encourage, equip, and empower brown girls to persevere in the faith while enlightening those who desire to love us well.
